CS Additive GmbH
CS Additive ranks among Europe’s major carbon pellet producers. The production of high-grade pellets at our plant in Brüggen started in 1976. The company has its roots in RAG Additive. Since the management buyout from RAG Additive in 2005, the company has been led by Dr. Manfred Kühn. In 2021, Manfred Kühn became Executive Partner of CS Additive.
With direct connections to the ports of Rotterdam and Roermond, the Brüggen production facility is logistically ideally located, guaranteeing both reliable supply of incoming raw materials and smooth product shipment to the customers’ destinations.
CS Additive is present worldwide and always close to its customers thanks to its world-spanning network of partnerships.

Dr. Manfred Kühn
Executive Partner
Dr. Manfred Kühn has been active in the coal trading business for the oil and chemical industries since 1980. From 1996 to 2005, he held various posts at Ruhrkohle AG in the international coal trading segment. Since 2005, he has been Executive Partner of CS Additive GmbH.
Dr. Jan-Christopher Schrag
Managing Director
In addition to holding a doctorate in metallurgy, Jan-Christopher Schrag has gained comprehensive sales and management experience in various executive positions in the international plant engineering industry.
Since 2018, he has been playing an important role at CS Additive, initially as a consultant. From 2019, he was Head of the Sulfur Business until his nomination as Managing Director in 2021.
