The owner of CS Additive has reached an agreement with Unimetal to acquire CS Additive. The company will be taken over by Unimetal B.V., a Dutch subsidiary of the international Unimetal Group based in São Paulo, Brazil. The deal includes all “Carbolux” products, the strategically well located processing plant
in Brüggen and its entire workforce.

CS Additive is one of the leading manufacturers of carbon products in Europe with over 40 years of experience in the production of carburizing products for the iron and steel industry at the Brüggen site.

With a workforce of over 2000 employees, Unimetal is a global player in the supply of premium carbon products for the metallurgical and other industries worldwide.

“CS Additive location in the industrial heart of Germany, will play an important role to process and distribute our entire product portfolio,” says Alan Yung, CEO of Unimetal. “I am proud of how the previous owners and we have managed to build the Carbolux business over 40 years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, suppliers and especially our employees for supporting us over this long period of time,” said Manfred Kühn, CEO of CS Additive, “I am
confident that all our partners and stakeholders will benefit of Unimetal’s expertise to take the business to the next level.”
